On September 12, 2020, the communication and coordination meeting for the acceptance preparation of the national science and technology major special project "Application Demonstration Project of 3500 ton Efficient Intelligent Extrusion Forming Equipment and Process" led by Suzhou Sanji Foundry Equipment Co., Ltd. was held at Sanji headquarters building. Leaders from relevant departments of industry and information technology, experts and representatives from various project undertaking units attended the coordination meeting, and on that day, all parties carried out effective project exchanges and coordination work.
Project Background: This project was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China in 2019 and is a major national science and technology special project. It is a major strategic product and engineering completed within the time limit through breakthroughs in core technologies and resource integration, and is of great significance for China's scientific and technological development. In addition to Suzhou Sanji, FAW, Tsinghua University, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Fuwei, Mechanical Science Research Institute and other units also participated in the project. Through the development of extrusion molding equipment and processes, the project has enabled China to improve and even surpass the international advanced level in the manufacturing, intelligence and digitization of large-scale extrusion equipment; Specifically, it includes completing efficient and intelligent extrusion production lines, automated extrusion production of high-performance alloy parts, improving the performance and applicability of cast alloy components, while reducing their weight and enhancing cost-effectiveness. In addition to the overall task indicators, each sub project has its own specific assessment indicators, such as equipment technical parameters, typical casting performance indicators, development of integrated digital simulation software for casting and forging, development of related extrusion casting processes and molds, formation of relevant industry production and testing standards and testing equipment development, patent applications, etc
The project work communication and coordination meeting was first welcomed by Chairman Xu Shanxin of Suzhou Sanji Foundry Equipment Co., Ltd. Following that, General Manager Zhou Zongzhen of Suzhou Sanji Equipment Business Unit reviewed the specific requirements and related tasks, as well as the details of the project acceptance work; Afterwards, each sub project leader reported on the execution of their assigned tasks and summarized the phased work, forming meeting minutes and project implementation progress reports. At present, the R&D project is progressing smoothly, with a completion rate of 90% for the main task objectives and sub projects. The participating units are confident in the upcoming acceptance work in November. In addition to written summaries and exchanges, all attendees also visited the research and development, equipment production, and commissioning site of the Suzhou Sanji project, and gained on-site knowledge of the progress of equipment commissioning and operation, as well as the actual performance of samples; In addition, experts and representatives carefully listened to the operation status of the Suzhou Sanji Light Alloy Pilot Platform and the value it creates for users.
Finally, the relevant leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology fully affirmed the innovative mechanism and phased achievements during the implementation of the project, including the leading role of Suzhou Sanji in promoting the development of China's light alloy precision forming industry and the region; Also concerned about and inquired about the impact of the previous epidemic on project progress, communication and coordination, and provided many feasible suggestions and support measures; At the same time, we look forward to efficient communication among all parties to ensure that the project is completed with quality and quantity according to the established plan and goals, and ultimately plays a driving role in the leapfrog development of light alloy precision forming equipment and processes.
